Ergonomics is the science of altering the work site to fit people safely and efficiently. Ergonomics focuses on creating workstations, tools and tasks that result in safe and efficient work practices. Effective Ergonomics utilize problem solving principles to decrease workplace injuries and increase job satisfaction and productivity.

About Ergonomics First
Ergonomics First LLC is a New Orleans based company that specializes in ergonomic evaluations and training in the office, transportation and industrial settings. We provide wellness programs, functional job descriptions, pre-work screens and assistive technology services.
Founded by a licensed physical therapist and certified industrial ergonomist, Ergonomics First offers insights on how to prevent injury, reduce Workers' Compensation expenses, promote Wellness Services in and out of the workplace, increase worker efficiency and help disabled and impaired professionals integrate safely into the workplace. Ergonomics First LLC provides office, lab, oil/gas, transportation and industrial ergonomic consulting in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama.
Ergonomic Evaluations 
Office ergonomic evaluations can be proactive to prevent ergonomic issues, protective to decrease risks for those working in high-risk positions or reactive to provide solutions to reduce injury severity and allow the employee to continue working. Transportation evaluations include a total systems approach to improve driver safety, wellness and reduce injury-related costs of drivers and warehouse workers. For industrial sites we customize an approach specifically designed for the needs of your company.
Pre-employment Screen
We perform Pre-employment physical assessment screens so that you can hire employees that are able to perform the essential functions of the job. We will complete the screens at your facility or off site if desired.
Wellness
A variety of Wellness Services programs and Wellness Services seminars are available to promote healthy practices among employees.
Assistive Technology
We provide services that assist an individual with a disability in the selection, acquisition, or use of an assistive technology devise in college or in the workplace.
