Ergonomics is the science of altering the work site to fit people safely and efficiently. Ergonomics focuses on creating workstations, tools and tasks that result in safe and efficient work practices. Effective Ergonomics utilize problem solving principles to decrease workplace injuries and increase job satisfaction and productivity.

Ergonomics First LLC is a New Orleans based company that specializes in ergonomic evaluations and training, wellness programs and training, functional job description development and assistive technology services.
Founded by a licensed physical therapist and certified industrial ergonomist, Ergonomics First offers insights on how to prevent injury, reduce Workers' Compensation expenses, promote wellness in and out of the workplace, increase worker efficiency and help disabled and impaired professionals integrate safely into the workplace. Ergonomic Evaluations 
Proactive evaluations prevent ergonomic issues and improve efficiency. Protective evaluations decrease risks for those working in high-risk positions such as data entry and materials handling.
